| The Lumenyte
"XFF" Series waterproof fitting prevents water from reaching
the illuminator when it is located at a lower elevation than the water level or when the optical fiber
is incorporated in a pressurized water line. Typically the XFF waterproof
fitting is installed on the fiber and PVC
conduit near the illuminator. One end is glued into the corresponding PVC coupling (supplied by
other); the other end tightens down onto the fiber directly. This fitting is designed for use with of the SEL300 (XFF300), SEL400 (XFF400), SEL500 (XFF500), SEL700 (XFF700). Use 1" PVC conduit for SEL300; SEL400. Use 11/2" PVC conduit for SEL500, SEL700. Always use an end seal or underwater fitting in water applications. |
