The LLUCIS is a portable
under-vehicle inspection system which incorporates five
digital color video cameras with Lumenyte's patent pending
LED lighting array (SS-SIMS™). The array provides full,
non-glare illumination completely eliminating shadows which
could otherwise conceal an iimprovised explosive device (IED)
or other contraband.
All images are digitally recorded to a computerized control
system located at a safe distance from the inspection point
and/or within a protected enclosure to ensure the safety of
the inspection personel. The operator, using the VCR style
controls, is able to rewind, replay and freeze the image
from each individual camera; the unit maintains all cameras
at the same point in time for simultaneous viewing.
Individual video windows can be resized by the user and the
video can be saved to a desired video format or to
individual images with GPS coordinates and time stamps. In
addition to the ability to accomplish all of this from a
safe location nearby, the system may also be remotely
monitored via the Internet from anywhere in the world.
